Dental Hygiene
A status study and awareness project.
Dental care is not getting enough attention in Pakistani Society, and hence we have health problems in different stages of life.
This initiative targets a assessment of on ground dental health situation and improving awareness. It kicks off from at educational institutions in Islamabad.
Action.
A primary school, high school, college is expected to be visited by a team of Dental Doctors and students, to act on three fronts, same day.
1. Speaks to classes about dental care, its importance. How to brush teeth.
2. Two teams work on inspection of teeth to register the dental care, habits of students, position of teeth, general disorders found and advise.
3. These teams may advise follow up visits to clinic if needed.
Results.
1. Knowledge of dental health status in different area, age and backgrounds.
2. Improved awareness in the student community
3. Preparing a comprehensive project about dental health, based on this initial information, if need be.
